About me
Dr. Kira London-Nadeau, PhD (she/her) is a CIHR and FRQS Health Systems Impact Fellow currently completing a pediatric research post-doc at the CHU Ste-Justine’s Gender Diversity Clinic, in affiliation with the Université de Montréal. At the Gender Clinic, she co-leads a large, longitudinal study aiming to examine the long-term outcomes of children and adolescents who receive gender-affirming care. As an embedded research fellow, she also aims to support the improvement of gender-affirming care for youth across Québec.
Prior to this work, Dr. London-Nadeau completed her masters and doctoral studies as an FRQS and CIHR-Vanier scholar at the Université de Montréal. Her work focused on the associations between cannabis use and mental health among queer and trans youth in Québec.
Dr. London-Nadeau’s research aims to remain connected to community work. As such, in 2018, she co-founded project VoxCann, a bilingual cannabis education initiative for youth in Québec. Between 2018 and 2023, she was the chair of the national board of Canadian Students for Sensible Drug Policy, for which she now sits as a Strategic Advisor.
