Research on gender-affirming care for youth
(2024-present)

Evaluating and implementing gender-affirming care in Québec: A cohort study and clinical capacity building strategy

Starting in Fall 2024, my work has pivoted to focus on gender-affirming services offered to children and adolescents. Long-term research is sorely needed to bolster access to high-quality care among trans, non-binary, and otherwise gender diverse youth. In my work at the CHU Ste-Justine’s Gender Diversity Clinic, the largest interdisciplinary gender clinic in Québec, we aim to gather long-term, longitudinal data and mobilize findings to support the development of the youth gender-affirming care network across the province.

Cannabis and mental health research (2017-2024)

Exploring cannabis use and mental health in sexually and gender diverse youth: A mixed methods, community-based approach

My masters and PhD research focused on the association between cannabis use and mental health among queer and trans youth. In doing this work, I aimed above all to benefit my queer and trans community. This meant conducting research that produced meaningful findings for us, but also centred young queer and trans people throughout its entire process.
